Hi Barry , assume your cutless only needs changing due to north and south excess movement ?
If its only the cutless to be changed there is no need to remove shaft from gearbox to do it ( all done from the under the boat after prop removal !
If however you are changing the shaft seal you will need to mark the faces of the gearbox flange and shaft flange together then unbolt the two faces ?
Suggest a good soaking of the hex bolts 24 hrs earlier with penetrating oil .
Cutless bearings and shaft seals in stock if he doesn't come up with the goods !
